The Bat Guy is a family-run business based in East Kent. Established in 2020 and growing year on year, we specialise in supplying first class Cricket bat repair and refurbishment services to all levels of cricketers – from International players to the weekend leisure player.

The Process
Bats can be sent in to us via courier, or dropped off at our address, via appointment only. Contact us to arrange.
Please attach your name and number to your bat (s), and let us know when you plan to drop off. We will confirm as quickly as possible. Please do not bring any bat covers / carry cases with your bats.
For courier / bat delivery
Please attach your name and contact number, to your bat inside the parcel. We recommend using bubble wrap, and / or sheets of cardboard to wrap your bat, to protect it in transit.
Please do not send any bat covers / carry cases, as these will not be returned.
We will contact you once we've received your bat in the workshop and following completion of works to arrange payment.
Repairs and refurbishments are expected to be completed within 7-10 days of receipt. Although we have an outstanding reputation, we can not guarantee the bats longevity given the harsh nature of the sport and the natural qualities of the willow.

Water is the enemy of the cricket bat. If left damp it will travel up the grain and cause damage like this. Personally I prefer not to use a toe guard so I can keep an eye on what is going on. It isn’t irreparable though.
